We care deeply where the food and products we sell come from. Many of the ingredients used in our kitchen and products sold in the shop come from independent suppliers close to home.

Sustainability
We are always looking for ways to reduce environmental impact. We have close to zero food waste, keep packaging to a minimum and use recyclable materials wherever possible.
Our flowers are wrapped in plastic-free, home-compostable packaging, and buying locally wherever we can helps us reduce food miles while supporting other independent businesses.
In Our Community
We are proud to support fundraising, schools, clubs and events in Goring and the surrounding villages.
Those we have supported include Goring Primary School, Streatley Primary School and pre-school, Goring Gap Festival, Goring Robins and the Outside 25 concerts marking the ten-year memorial and celebrating George Michael’s life and music.
We also provide welcome hampers for a number of local bed and breakfasts and the Swan Hotel and Coppa Club in Streatley-on-Thames.
For us, being part of the community isn’t separate from running the shop – it’s an important part of what The Goring Grocer is about.
